Having come to feel that there were no Swedish counterparts to compete with translated reprints of US Marvel comics, Janne Erikssons, editor of the Swedish Spider-Man and X-Men printings, created Svenska Superserier (Swedish Super Series) in 2004 to showcase new Swedish talent.
