Powers/Abilities: The Ultra-Man exo-skeleton allowed Rumpole to jump great distances or drop from the top of buildings without injury. He had great strength, and was bulletproof. On his feet were boot rockets which allowed him to fly.

History: Professor Clive Rumpole was a robotics genius who designed a powerful suit of mechanized armour. Wearing this suit he embarked on a crime spree as Ultra-Man, as much for the excitement as for the money. He soon ran afoul of both the police and local vigilante hero, the Avenger. Ultra-Man won the first few rounds with ease, but eventually the Avenger tracked him back to his home, and discovered his true identity. In order to protect his secret, Ultra-Man attempted to kill the hero, but this time the Avenger had come prepared. He had modified his power lance so that when it struck Ultra-Man it overloaded his exo-skeleton, causing it to malfunction and go haywire. The villain's boot rockets propelled him through the roof of the house and brought him crashing down into the swimming pool in the back garden. Rumpole was trapped inside the armour and before the Avenger could get to him, he was electrocuted by his own invention.

Comments: The only super-powered opponent the Avenger faced.
