Base of Operations: A golden pyramid at the base of a volcano in the Valley of Time

First Appearance: Freedom Force - a segment of Tarzan and the Super 7 (Filmation for CBS, 1978)

History: The superheroine Isis gathered together heroes from around the world to help battle evil. Recruiting Hercules (of the Space Sentinels), Merlin, Sinbad and Super Samurai, she brought them to the Valley of Time, from where they would venture out throughout time to face monsters and villainy.

Comments: The team's headquarters was at the base of a volcano. Must have made Hercules feel right at home, since his previous team also had their HQ inside a volcano. I wonder if it was the same volcano?

The show only lasted five episodes:

1. The Dragon Riders
2. The Scarlet Samurai
3. The Planet Soldiers
4. Pegasus' Odyssey
5. The Robot

Merlin should not be confused with

• Merlin, wizard and advisor to King Arthur

• Merlin, Quality Comics' hero

• Merlyn, manipulator and creator of Captain Britain

Sinbad should not be confused with

• Sinbad Jr., another cartoon hero
