Breaking into a nearby house, he slaughtered the family within, eating their brains, until only a young boy was left. But as the child cried for his father, somehow it stirred memories in the zombie's mind, making him recall he had once been a father himself. With self-awareness came revulsion at what he had become, then anger, and he fled the house with a new purpose, to stop evil creatures like himself from preying on the living.
