History: Atom and Elektra are from the year 2000 (which at the time of this story being published was considered to be far in the future). Where they got their powers from is unclear - in fact the abilities they display may be typical of your average youth in the year 2000 A.D. The two are called on whenever the world discovers threats to the human race, being sent in to battle the enemies of mankind.
