First Appearance: Monster Fun #1 (I.P.C., 14th June 1975)

Powers/Abilities: Using his glasses Ray can see through things.

History: Ray was given a pair of square spectacles by the optician I. Squint which allowed him to see through objects.

Comments: X-Ray Specs first appeared in Monster Fun, before transferring to Buster when Monster Fun merged with it in 1976. He lasted in his new home until the very last issue of Buster, dated 4th January 2000, where I Squint took the specs back, claiming that he'd only lent them to Ray. Thanks to Billy Hicks for this information.

CLARIFICATIONS: Not to be confused with

• X-Ray, enemy of the Hulk and member of the U-Foes

• X-Ray Boy, ally of Megaton Man
