Powers/Abilities: Tornado Tom possesses the "strength of a dozen men" and can move at superhuman speed, capable of outrunning a car doing 70 mph. In enclosed spaces he swiftly begins to lose his strength, but can be revived almost instantly by even a slight breeze.

Summary: Swept up by a tornado, farmhand Tom Kenny spent several hours "whirled above the Earth", before finally coming back down to ground unharmed apart from amnesia. The only clue to who he had been were the farmer's overalls he wore. He discovered this experience had given him superhuman powers, and set off on a trip to find his home, traveling the country and fighting bad guys along the way.

His powers may be mystical in origin. When attacked by foes indoors he finds his powers waning in the hot, stuffy room, and almost passes out, only to instinctively call on Boreas, god of the wind. Perhaps in response to this prayer, a sudden gust of wind arises outside, strong enough to break the window glass, and when the fresh air reaches him he revives at full strength almost instantly.
