Powers/Abilities: Jaspers was a powerful mutant, whose mental powers grew exponentially over time. At first a world-class genius and inventor, Jaspers was later capable of creating and manipulating reality on a grand scale.
History: In an alternate reality (Earth 238), Sir James Jaspers used his powers to become an influential member of Parliament and spearheaded many governmental programs to register and regulate superhero actions. As part of these regulations, Jaspers created the cybernetic robot called the Fury, which was capable of destroying any super-powered human, with the programmed exception of Jaspers himself.
Eventually, all superhumans were outlawed. Jaspers then took more steps, using his powers to ultimately control the world. By this time, the world was little more than a post-apocalyptic nightmare and Jaspers was truly insane. He would have fun by creating things, like the Crazy Gang, and going on mock-crime sprees for adventure. He then came across the dimension-lost Captain Britain, who tried to stop him but failed. Ultimately, this reality was deemed unfit and wiped from existence by the Omniversal Majestrix.
In our reality, James Jaspers was just beginning to take the same steps as his 238 counterpart did in taking over the world. Captain UK, a refugee of Earth 238, tried to contact our Captain Britain to stop him. About the same time, Jaspers created the Crazy Gang in our reality. Immediately after, Jaspers was confronted by the Fury, who survived the extinction of Earth 238. After a fierce, dimension hopping and reality warping battle, the Fury killed Jaspers.
Comments: Even though Jaspers was killed quite thoroughly by the Fury, he was seen as the prosecuting official at Magneto's trail a few years later. Presumably this was a powerless duplicate created by Roma as part of her cleaning up process after the Jasper's warp ended.
