Powers/Abilities: A being of pure energy, Hellstrike can fly and blast bolts of energy.

History: Nigel Keane was a Scotland Yard investigator who was attacked by the criminal who would one day adopt the costumed identity of Deathtrap. Nigel's partner was killed, and he survived only because the assault triggered a latent mutation in his genes caused (like hundreds of others around the world) by exposure to the alien energies of a comet which had passed close to the Earth some time before. Nigel gained the power to control and manipulate energy. Taking the name Hellstrike, he joined the U.N. sanctioned hero team known as Stormwatch.

Much later he and Deathtrap had a rematch, which triggered a progression in Nigel's mutation. His body became pure energy, and began to lose cohesion, until team-mate and fellow energy being Fuji managed to help him, creating a containment suit similar to his own. Sadly Hellstrike eventually lost his life when a group of Alien xenomorphs invaded the Skywatch satellite; his suit was breached and he dissipated. Years later the Authority's Engineer resurrected him, and he joined the new StormWatch.
