History: Ariel Chylde grew up in the town of Salem, in southern states of the U.S.A. Her mother had died when she was young, leaving her in the care of her abusive father. But finally his mistreatment of her caused something in the innocent young girl to snap, and Ariel Chylde discovered she was cursed with horrific powers, able to summon monsters from another realm. She killed her father, only to discover that he was not her true sire. Her actual father was Kauldron, a demon from that other realm. As the Darkchylde she now had to defend her home against the evils she had unwittingly unleashed.
