Adventurer Magazine
Adventurer Magazine was a short lived (11 issues) British rpg magazine published by Mersey Leisure Publishing. Published between April 1986 and June/July 1987, it featured articles and scenarios based on various popular tabletop rpgs of the day, including Advanced Dungeons and Dragons, Call of Cthulhu, Stormbringer (Elric), MERP (Middle Earth Role-Playing), and, importantly for this superhero-themed site, Villains and Vigilantes. It also featured the comic strips Once Bitten (#1-11), about a group of fantasy adventurers based out of the titular tavern; Bomber (#3, 5-6, 8-9, 11), starring a West country minotaur and his friends; D3 (#1, 3-10), a short (4 panel usually) humour strip); Whiplash (#3-6, 10-11), a 1920s horror strip initially written and drawn by future comics greats Warren Ellis and Staz Johnson (the last two parts were written by Paul Hayes instead of Ellis); and Return to Arkham by Brian Lumley (#7-8).
