Comments: World of Wonder was an educational title, with each issue carrying different heavily illustrated features on science, history, literature and more. Launched in 1970 as a successor to Tell Me Why and a sister title to the well established Look and Learn, it featured no comic strip stories, but did include fictional tales, mostly abbreviated adaptations of literary classics. Of these, the most notable was probably the first, which unlike most of subsequent stories was not an adaptation of an existing novel, but a brand new SF adventure, A Leap into the Future, which ran in the first ten issues.

The reason for World of Wonder's illustrated text format was so that it could be repackaged for worldwide sales, with the text kept separate from the art so it could easily be switched from one language to another. Printed by Oberon BV in the Netherlands, in the U.K. it was distributed by Fleetway.
