History: In 1692 the coven of light known as the Rite Path saw that witch-hunters were creating hysteria for their own evil purposes, targetting accused witches not to protect the public but to gain power, and foolishly paving the way for a future where magic would not be believed in, leaving the dark powers free to operate unchallenged. The leader of the Rite Path enchanted her own son, making him resistant to magic used against him, and when witch-hunters came and burned mother and boy at the stake, the boy's father secretly captured his son's soul in a crystal, saving it for when his power would be needed. Three centuries later the father, kept alive by the Rite Paths magic, returned to the site of the mass grave where the bones of his wife and child were discarded with those of others. The power of the crystal created a new body and deposited the captured soul in it. The revived child grew into a man resistant to the arcane forces controlling the world. In addition, he was outfitted with an arsenal his father had spent centuries building. He was taught the ways of magic and the art of combat. He learned not to take himself too seriously. His irreverence would give him an edge against the colossal egos hed be facing, and help to keep things in perspective. He became a new kind of Witch Hunter. Now he has to fight the dark powers that be, called the Scarlet Circle, before they remake the world in their own image.
