The Tick
A truly comic superhero, the Tick is the creation of Ben Edlund. Published by New England Comics, the character swiftly became a cult favourite. He and his sidekick Arthur, along with a slew of their friends and enemies, made it onto TV a few years later when a Tick cartoon was launched. It proved to be a huge success, running for three seasons, and with many of the episodes written by Edlund, which allowed it to retain the quirky humour that had made the comic a hit. In 2001 a short lived live action TV series debuted on the Fox Network. With the different incarnations of the character, and the kooky universe he lives in, there have been numerous superheroes and villains, many of whom have appeared in all three mediums, necessitating this page be split up to properly cover them.
