The Stainless Steel Rat

An adaptation of Harry Harrison's prose hero James Bolivar DiGriz, a.k.a. the Stainless Steel Rat. Originally published in novella form in 1957, which was then expanded into a novel in 1961, the Stainless Steel Rat came to comics in Prog 140, 24th November 1979. In all three out of the then five Stainless Steel Rat novels were adapted by Kelvin Gosnell and Carlos Ezquerra. Though the Rat has sadly not returned to comics, he has continued to appear in prose, and now has ten novels, a gamebook (of the choose-your-own adventure variety), and a couple of short stories, chronicling his escapades.
