Powers/Abilities: Able to fly and to generate and control heat and flames.
History: Scientist Dr.Morgan develops "Astro-Pyro Rays",
which he uses to grant superhuman powers to a cowboy named Jack Dawson. Using
his new abilities, Ted becomes the superhero Red Blazer. Shortly after this,
he gains a sidekick Sparky, who eventually gains similar powers.
Comments: Red Blazer began as a text story character in Pocket Comics. He later transferred to All New Comics, where he became for a while the cover star (#5 through 12), gaining both a new costume and a promotion, renamed as Captain Red Blazer. Although he appeared on the front of the comic, he remained a text character inside. His sidekick Sparky also had a (slight) retitle around the same time, becoming Spark - other sources online state Sparky had no superpowers, but the covers of All New Comics contradict this, so presumably he gained them around the same time he changed his name.
