Powers/Abilities: Possesses "neonic powers." Able to fly. Able to fire "neonic energy" blasts from his hands.
History: Tom Corbet had enlisted in the Foreign Legion, but his unit was wiped out while pursuing enemies across a desert, killed by dehydration. Finally only Tom was left, and he too was about to die when he came across an oasis full of glowing water. Too close to death to be choosy, Tom drank deeply and was instantly transformed, gaining both superhuman powers and a neat new costume, which he used to become a crimefighter, Neon the Unknown.

Neon ran in Hit Comics from #1 to #17, and also teamed up with Uncle Sam and friends in Uncle Sam Quarterly #2. He returned to comics in 2008 when he turned up in DC's Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters.
