As well as making her virtually invulnerable, this enhances her strength and reflexes. She has a telepathic link with the other symbiote wearers, the rest of Wetworks.

Mother-One also possess cybernetic arms replacing lost limbs, with built in lasers on her shoulders. Her brain has also been cybernetically enhanced, and she can tap into computers and satellites, which she uses to get an overview of the battlefield.

History: Rachel Rhodes was a federal agent whose tactical skills saw her assigned to the C.I.A. She was sent straight into field work, spending two years working as the U.S. contact with rebel forces in Cuba and other countries in the third world. Her career was cut short when a meeting turned into an ambush, and she was badly wounded. To save her life, she was turned into a cyborg on the orders of Miles Craven, head of International Operations (I.O.).

Codenamed Mother-One, she was put in charge of a squad who were sent to kill Jackson Dane and his agents, who had just completed a dangerous mission. Having secretly entered the employ of industrialist Armand Waering, she changed sides, saving Dane's team. In the aftermath Mother-One revealed her real employer and Waering granted the squad sanctuary. Renaming them Wetworks, he recruited them for his fight against the Night Tribes.
