Powers/Abilities: Maul normally looks like a somewhat skinny but otherwise normal-looking human, but can transform in seconds into an immense purple-skinned humanoid with horns growing out his back, possessed of incredible strength, endurance and durability. He can continue to grow larger and stronger (he has been seen to be able to grow until he dwarfs skyscrapers), but as he grows his intelligence decreases proportionately, until he is nothing more than a mindless brute whose only goal is destruction.

History: Jeremy Stone spent the early years of his life not realising he was not entirely human. He is a crossbreed, part human, and part Kherubim, specifically belonging to a sub-species of that race called the Titanthropes. For millennia the Kherubim on Earth had been fighting a secret war against another group of aliens, the Daemonites. When Jeremy discovered his heritage and his ability to transform into a giant being of superhuman strength, he joined that war, becoming a member of the WildC.A.T.S. using the codename Maul.

The Kherubim on Earth had been cut off from their homeworld since they crashed on Earth all those years before, but the WildC.A.T.S. eventually managed to travel back to Khera, were they discovered a number of disquieting truths about their people. The space-borne Kherubim had defeated the Daemonites centuries past, becoming decadent and corrupt in the intervening time. For Maul the revelations were even worse - he learned that the Titanthropes had been the original inhabitants of Khera, whose world had been stolen from them by the Kherubim and then found themselves second-class citizens on their own planet, forced to live in ghettos. After getting dragged into the bitter politics of Khera, and seeing a woman he had come to love die because of same, Maul joined his fellow WildC.A.T.S. in turning their back on Khera and returning to Earth.

Since then Maul has left the team, and is currently romantically involved with his old team-mate Voodoo.
