Martha
Real Name: Martha
Identity/Class: Human mutate
Occupation: School girl
Affiliations: Her father, Faceache
Enemies: None known
Known Relatives: Unidentified father, unidentified mother
Aliases: None
Base of Operations: Unknown
First Appearance: "Martha's Monster Make-Up", Monster Fun #1 (IPC, 14th June 1975)
Powers/Abilities: A slight dab of the special make-up could temporarily transform Martha's appearance, changing her face into a variety of hideous looking visages. She doesn't seem to gain any other abilities while like this, nor does she have any control over exactly what she ends up looking like.
History: Martha's father worked as a caretaker at Mallet Horror Films studios and, after finding some left over make-up while sweeping up the changing rooms. He passed it on to his daughter, unaware that it had come from a horror movie and could transform whoever used it in monstrous ways. Luckily, Martha was overjoyed to discover this, and proceeded to use the make-up to play practical jokes and give bullies their come-uppance.
Comments: Martha was created by Ken Reid and first appeared in Monster Fun #1. She survived that title's demise, transferring to Buster, where her strip ran for an additional year. Decades later she reappeared in Albion, with the older Martha (now named Martina) now enjoying a relationship with the equally transformative Faceache.
