History: Johnny Savage is a spoiled rich kid, who at heart, just wanted people to care about him. Unfortunately his successful and influential parents couldn't be bothered to spend time with him, and in his hurt he adopted a violent, couldn't-care-less attitude at the world. Embarrassed by his actions, his parents decided that the problem couldn't be anything they had done, and instead paid for a string of expensive doctors to treat him chemically to "cure" whatever was causing his rages. Instead they managed to give him the ability to transform into a bestial form which allowed him to do even more damage. Defeated by the Liberty Project during his rampage, his parents pulled strings to get him out of jail and on the team, much to the dismay and disgust of the rest of the group. Since he had threatened to kill them all it's hardly surprising that the other Project members didn't warm to him.
Johnny tried, in his own way, to become a useful and valued member of the Project, but was unable to recognise that he was making genuine, though slow, progress, because even the slightest set-back was seen by him as taking him back to the start. His violent blustering meant the other team members never felt comfortable around him, and eventually he tried to win their support by faking a new threat who was allegedly out to kill his Johnny Savage persona. As "Menace," he attacked their base using hired gun men. But he was unmasked, destroying what little trust he had built up, and he fled into the night. He tried to locate the one person he felt understood him, a singer whose music had touched a chord in him. The Liberty Project pursued, but Johnny eluded them, and tried to reach the singer while she was on stage during a concert. Armed security reacted swiftly and gunned him down, ending his tortured life.
