The Impossibles
Membership: Coil Man, Fluid Man, Multi Man
Purpose: To fight crime and play cool tunes
Affiliations: Big D (boss)
Enemies: The Spinner, The Perilous Paperman, Dr Futoro, Mr Instant
Base of Operations: Mobile around the world
First Appearance: Frankenstein Jr. and the Impossibles (segment of show, Hanna-Barbera for CBS, 1966)
History: The Impossible are a team of heroes working for Big D. They travel around the world under their cover as a rock group (of the same name). When needed, Big D contacts them through a transmitter hidden in the bottom of Coil-Man's guitar, and they transform into their superhero identities before racing off in their Impossicar to battle evil.
Comments: Steve Powell notes "The heroes always used to introduce themselves at the start of the show. Each hero had a nifty strapline they used to announce their secret identity. I remember Multiman used to announce "Makes like a CROWD, no crooks allowed"." Coil Man's intro was "He makes the scene when things look mean" while Fluid Man's was "Stay's on the spot, the spot that's hot."
