Real Name: Percival Pineapple

Affiliations: None known
Enemies: Unknown
Known Relatives: None known
Aliases: None known
Base of Operations: Unknown
First Appearance: Bunny, The Queen of the In-Crowd #? (A Harvey Teen Giant Comic, Harvey Comics, 1966)
Powers/Abilities: Able to transform into any fruit he can think of - in these forms he is still able to move, and can employ the properties of the fruit to fight crime - squirting lemon juice in people's eyes, slipping them on his banana skins, etc. His power doesn't affect clothes, so when he uses it he has to be naked.
History: Fruitman is a hero who can transform into fruit to fight crime (stop sniggering at the back!).
(Fruitman Special) Coming across a bank robbery, Fruitman turns into a lemon and temporarily blinds one of the robbers by squirting juice in his eye. However the other robber has escaped with their ill-gotten gains, so Fruitman changes into a tiny blueberry and hides in the blinded crook's pocket. His ride recovers and makes his way back to their hideout. As an orange, Fruitman smashes through the window, and then as a banana he sends the two criminals sliding, knocking them unconscious. Finally as an apple, he calls the police (how can an apple call the cops? Please, don't expect logic in this title!), who come along and arrest them.
Comments: Fruitman got his own one-off special in December 1969, drawn by Ernie Colon. I'm not sure who wrote or drew his original strip in Bunny.
CLARIFICATIONS: Not to be confused with
Appleman, a foe of Bananaman
Bananaman, a British hero who gets his powers from Bananas
Pineapple Man, a Hawaiian hero
