Powers/Abilities: Apart from his robotic abilities Deadlock is a magician of great power.
History: Deadlock was built to be the Grand Wizard of the Knights Martial, a group of robots given special authority to try and execute Volgan war criminals. The Knights experimented with mysticism and sorcery, and it was the powers this granted him that made Deadlock a viable recruit for Hammerstein's Mars squad.
Returning to Earth and the Knights Martial after the conclusion of this mission, Deadlock was dismayed to find that they had abandoned their disciplined ways. In time they would be replaced by a new human order, Terminators, who would twist their values into a doctrine of hatred for all alien life-forms. Deadlock isolated himself from his fellow Knights, spending years meditating and studying ancient manuscripts, trying to achieve the ultimate ambition of all wizards: to reach the highest level of the astral plane, and join with his master Khaos. Nemesis came for him and the two merged into one.
He reappeared as a separate entity when Nemesis had to send the Warriors on a mission in the Time Wastes while he was busy elsewhere.
