Powers/Abilities: Able to fly using a pair of artificial wings powered by a small electric motor. A chest mounted control allowed him to adjust his speed with one switch, and the angle of his wings, and thus their lift and drag, with another switch. There were loops in the underside of each wing which he could slip his arms into, allowing him to glide if silent movement was required.
History: Having invented a pair of artificial wings with which he could glide and fly, scientist Brian Hardy wowed audiences just prior to World War II as the aerialist Captain Zoom. However, once war broke out, Zoom patriotically enlisted in the RAF as a Flight Lieutenant, lending his unique equipment and skills to the fight against the Nazis.
