Comments: The debut of Marvel UK's first ongoing original strip, produced for the British market, albeit by U.S. creators. Originally mostly in colour and with a paper cover, the comic became glossy covered but with black and white interiors from #24, and cancelled altogether with #39, merging into Super Spider-Man. Only the Captain Britain strip survived the transfer. Captain Britain would eventually regain his own title again in the 1980s, albeit in a monthly rather than weekly comic.
