History: Police detective Jack Jones, known by his fellow officers as a lover of blackjack, learned that the criminal Lucky Lavitto and his men were hiding out in the Larson Mansion, but was captured by the mobsters thanks to a fellow officer betraying him. Aware of the cop's penchant for gambling, Lavitto placed Jones inside a small room along with a Jack of Spades card, then sealed the room airtight with cement, leaving him to suffocate. Jones used the card to poke a small air hole in the drying cement, letting in enough fresh air to survive until he was discovered by the returning Mr. Larson. Believed dead, Jones adopted a costumed identity, and swiftly brought Lavitto and his men to justice.
