The Avengers

The Avengers (never actually called that in the series) are a number of British intelligence officers and their civilian allies who investigated a variety of cases, both relatively mundane and more esoteric. Usually only a couple were active at a time, most commonly the debonairre John Steed and his partner of whatever moment. They were predominately active in the 1960s and 70s.
