Summary: Following the destruction of his own civilization by rogue robots that would soon move on to devastate Earth, the extraterrestrial Zero recruited five exceptional humans - well, really he recruited four exceptional humans but one was on a date and she got picked up too, but luckily she also proved to be exceptional - on a desperate mission to destroy the robots before they attacked Earth. After the humans succeeded Zero offered them the choice of returning home immediately, or of first exploring the universe with him; they all chose the latter.

   Though he tells the humans that he is called Zero, it's unclear whether this is his actual name (seems unlikely, given the odds against an alien species having names that resemble words from a human language), the translation of his real name into English, or just a designation chosen because the humans would struggle with his given name. The middle option seems the most likely, given that other aliens such as Princess Zira appear to know have known him by this same name since before he met the humans.

  Trying to find a decent full body shot this guy was difficult. Most full or near full body shots have him standing facing away from the reader, or are so small as to be indistinct. Note that despite the blue tint on the headshot above, Zero actual has pink skin, like a Caucasian human.
