History: Matthew Blackfeather was a legal attorney for the Dakota tribes who enjoyed adventurous, airborne, past-times such as sky diving and hang-gliding. Unknown to him, he was also one of a number of humans carrying a hidden genetic timebomb in his DNA, sent back in time from 5 million years in the future by the scientists of Terminus. In the early 1980s, he was approached by Future Dynamics, offered a place on a cadre of special agents the firm was developing. Intrigued, he took them up on the job, and with a group of similarly "seeded" humans, his special DNA was activated. Matthew gained the ability to fly and transform into an atavistic raptor form; this latter development, complete with berserker rages, worried him, but he was soon convinced of the need to use his new powers against the Inheritors, murderous future humans and rivals of the people of Terminus.
