History: Shipwrecked in the South Seas with his parents in 1790 as a young boy, the future Voice survived after his parents died by discovering that some rare herbs found only on the island could be used as food. The herbs also kept him hale and hearty even in extreme old age, so that he was still fighting fit when he was finally rescued in 1940. His original name long forgotten, he adopted the name Mr. Elixir when he returned to civilization. Still needing to regularly ingest the herbs or risk his age rapidly catching up with him, he managed to chemically synthesize a version, finding his version also gave him superhuman strength. Using this and his eerie ability to make his voice appear to come from the empty air to terrify criminals, he became the crimefighting Voice.
