Strongman

Real Name: Don't know

Identity/Class: Unknown.

Occupation: Adventurer

Affiliations: None

Enemies: Japanese soldiers

Known Relatives: None

Aliases: Strongest man in Britain

Base of Operations: Active worldwide.

First Appearance: Smash (I.P.C., 1970)

Powers/Abilities: The "strongest man in Britain." His strength is sufficient to smash through a solid stone wall. He is also armed with a "gravity gun" which makes anything it hits become incredibly heavy.

History: Strongman is an adventurer in the mold of Doc Savage. He has superhuman strength, although how he developed this is unexplained (at least in the stories I have).

Comments: Strongman is very politically incorrect from the samples of the strip I have - in the space of four pages he manages to refer to Japanese opponents as "nasty little Nip's", "banana face", "rice-eating war lovers" and "lemon faced scum". I'd expect it from a World War II comic, but not in 1970.
