Spiritman is a fairly brutal crimefighter. He traps the gold robbers by blowing up the end of their tunnel, but despite them having no way to escape before the authorities find them, he then deliberately activates an electric current in their tunnel, so that they "die like burning rats." He then pursues the truck the robber loaded the gold into, and though it has already delivered its cargo to a plane that has taken off, he takes the time to force the driver off a cliff. Only then does he pursue the plane, and commandeers the controls to make it crash into the sea. Basically, he goes out of his way to kill almost all the criminals even when it would have been just as easy to capture many of them, and the only ones he spares are some of the crew on a ship that the gold was being delivered to, and only them because sinking the vessel would have made it almost impossible for the coast guard to recover the loot.
Though both the end of his story and the next issue blurb on the final page of the issues promised Spiritman would return in the next issue, he failed to materialize.
