Spider-Man
Real Name: Peter Parker
Identity/Class: Human mutate
Occupation: Press photographer, university student
Affiliations: J. Jonah Jameson, Rita Conway
Enemies: Dr. Moon, Mandak
Known Relatives: May Parker (aunt)
Aliases: None
Base of Operations: Manhattan, New York City
First Appearance: Amazing Spider-Man (1977)
Powers/Abilities: Enhanced strength and agility (though debatably not superhuman, like his comics counterpart). Hands and feet adhere to walls, allowing him to scale buildings with minimal effort. Uses mechanical webshooters to generate chemically-generated webbing to snare opponents; unlike his comics counterparts, he does not generally use this to swing on.
History:
Comments: Peter Parker was played by Nicholas Hammond, with unidentified stuntmen usually playing the costumed Spider-Man.
In 1984, Hammond and Bill Bixby, who played David Banner in the Hulk TV series, discussed Hammond reprising the role in one of the Hulk TV movies, this time playing the costumed Spider-Man as well as Peter Parker. Allegedly never entirely happy with having stuntmen play the part for scenes not involving stuntwork, Hammond was reportedly keen to take this opportunity to rectify that, and favoured Spider-Man adopting the black and white costume he had recently adopted in the comics.
CLARIFICATIONS: None.
