History: Trying to pay his way through college by selling magazines, Sparky Watts knocked on the door of eccentric inventor Doc Static, who agreed to make a purchase if Sparky let Doc perform an experiment on him. He irradiated Sparky with cosmic rays, which gave him superhuman powers, which he went on to use to fight evil, such as Axis forces and criminal gangs.
