Comments: Published in 1967 by City Magazines, Solo contained mostly licensed strips based on TV shows, films and Disney properties. Among its more notable strips was Mark of The Mysterons, a tie-in to Gerry Anderson's Captain Scarlet, which debuted before the TV show it was linked to. With some strips seemingly aimed at a pre-teen audience (such as Mary Poppins) and others at older children (Man from UNCLE, for example), it appeared to be unsure of its target demographic, and after only 31 issues it was cancelled and absorbed into TV Tornado.
