Base of Operations: India mainly. On occasion world wide, and presumably he can go off planet when he wants.

First Appearance: Chacha Chaudhary and The Pocket Thief  (1971)

Powers/Abilities: Superhuman strength (goes with incredible height, which strictly speaking isn't a power). Because of his great size and metabolism he has to eat a lot (he is especially fond of lassi, a type of yoghurt)

History: An inhabitant of Jupiter, Sabu was travelling the solar system when he decided to drop by Earth for a look see. He fell in love with the scenery almost immediately - beautiful snow clad mountains, the flowing rivers and thick green woods. Encountering Chacha Chaudhary, he was so touched by the hospitality of the detective and his wife Bini that he decided to settle on our planet. In return he aids his friend in his fight against crime, lending his considerable muscle to the cause of justice.

Comments: Created by Pran, who needed to provide Chacha Chaudhary with an ally who could do the fighting.

Naveen Kumar Meena informs me that Sabu's punchline was Jab Sabu ko gussa aata hai, door kahi jwalamukhi fat-ta hai (When Sabu is gets angry, a volcano erupts at some distant place).
