Comments: Played by Peter Cushing. He was the Doctor in two movies, both produced by Amicus in the sixties. A third movie was discussed, but the idea was eventually dropped. Since then the character has returned twice - once in a short story (The House on Oldark Moor) in the short story collection Doctor Who: Short Trips and Side Steps; and once in a new comic strip, Daleks vs. The Martians. The Doctor who Brief Encounter in DWM #190, entitled A Visit to the Cinema, implies that the Doctor Who movies exist in the Doctor's universe, as fictional adaptions of his real adventures.
