History: Originally ordinary humans until they were empowered by gemstones left on Earth by a Heavenly source, each taking on aspects of the deities that left behind the stones. Now, assembled as Penance, they seek to prevent the demonic forces of Kain and Orcus from achieving their villainous goals.

Penance will be appearing in the War of the Independents.
