Powers/Abilities: Oak possesses superhuman strength and tough, woodlike, skin.

History: Oak was one of a large number of children transformed by the Jaspers Warp, a reality-bending rift which engulfed the U.K., created by the powerful and insane mutant Mad Jim Jaspers. After the Warp ended, many of the younger people affected remained changed, gaining superhuman powers and twisted forms. In Oak's case, he became larger, superhumanly strong, and his skin took on the texture of hard wood. Like other "Warpies", he was rounded up by agents of the government's Resources Control Executive, and taken into their custody, both for safe keeping and to train him as a weapon to protect Britain. He was assigned to one of the combat squads R.C.X. was forming, and eventually came into conflict with Excalibur.
