Powers/Abilities: Hall can make his shadow become solid. He has a torch attached to his leg so that he can cast a strong, long shadow. It can reach great distances to touch things, is far stronger than a normal person, and can speak on his behalf.

History: By studying the mysteries of the East, wealthy young scientist Edward Hall learned how to give his shadow material properties, so that at will it could become solid, a living thing able to hear, to speak, to act. Disguising himself in a white tuxedo and dark glasses, he became Nightshade, scourge of the underworld, nemesis of gangdom!
