Powers/Abilities: Able to transform partially or completely into sentient, mobile mud.

History: The son of a local policeman Owen Craig grew up in the small coastal town of Burnbridge on Sea, a place with no real claims to fame barring a beach composed of dangerous mud flats where the unwary could be dragged under to their doom. While spraying graffiti in a supposedly abandoned house by the beach Owen inadvertently disturbed two bank robbers hiding out there. Unaware of just who they were he fled upon realising someone else was in the house, but the robbers gave chase, and when he ran onto mud they shot him in the back rather than risk pursuing him across the treacherous terrain. Owen died, but somehow came back as a being able to transform into living mud. When the robbers later took his father hostage, Owen donned a costume to stop them as the superhero Mudman.
