Powers/Abilities: Superhuman strength (strong enough to catch a large plane as it comes in to land, and stop it dead). Able to leap incredible distances. Telepathic. Armed with a pair of hand-held "flame thrower" pistols.

History: Having come from far-off Antaclea to Earth for a visit, Martan and his wife discovered the world under attack from invading aliens, and helped defend the primitive planet from these attacks.

Comments: Martan the Marvel Man appeared in Popular Comics #44-68.
