Powers/Abilities: Mace is armed with a namesake weapon which can be charged with energy to deliver an even more deadly blow. He also has a superhuman sense of smell, which appears to be an innate power (hence designating him a mutant)
History:Always a brawler quick to violence, Theodore McIntyre was serving a prison term when he fashioned his first mace in the prison machine shop. Using the weapon to assault guards and escape, he continued to enhance his chosen weapon with gadgets, and launched a supervillain career as the Mace.

Originally created for the Villains and Vigilantes tabletop role-playing game's first scenario, Crisis at Crusader Citadel, Mace subsequently appeared in the Villains and Vigilantes comic miniseries released by Eclipse Comics which adapted that scenario.
