First Appearance: Hotspur #412 (19 July 1941-74; a text story in serial format, Iron Teacher became a strip story in 1972)

Powers/Abilities: The Teacher is superhumanly strong, able to hold an elephant aloft or support a broken bridge with vehicles upon it. He is bullet-proof. He can fire a ray of blinding purple light from his eyes.

History: Built by unknown parties (at least unknown to me), the Iron Teacher was controlled by Special Agent Jake Todd in adventures all over the world.

Comments: Iron Teacher turns up in a cameo in Albion as one of a host of robots in various stages of disrepair stored in Penny Dolmann's workshop.

CLARIFICATIONS: Not to be confused with

• any other Iron characters
