History: Cal Denton fought crime as the newly elected police commissioner, but when the law could not stop the criminals, he would don a colourful costume to battle them on their own ground as the Ferret.

He notes that the "Series starts as if the Ferret has been fighting crime for years although it is his first recorded adventure."
