Powers/Abilities: Jack’s powers are fueled by an event horizon of a black hole. Since this is a limitless source of power there is very little he can’t do. His only weakness is his low self esteem.
History: Jack Turner was studying black holes. Part of his experiment involved creating miniature models to study up close. One of the experiments got out of hand (like it will) and Jack was sucked in. However, instead of being torn apart by cosmic forces he was imbued with the energy of the event horizon.
Deciding to become a super hero (like you do) he created perhaps the most forgettable name and costume in super hero history. Despite the fact that he saved the world on numerous occasions he never achieved the level of fame he felt was due to him. This or perhaps an after effect of the incident that gave him his powers caused him to snap.
He sought revenge on the super hero community who received the
adulation he felt he deserved. He decided to start small with a former sidekick
named Enrique Acosta who used to be known as Chuck. Enrique outwitted the
doctor with promises of an image overhaul.
After this defeat Jack decided to seek counseling for his emotional issues. It remains to be seen if Doctor Event Horizon Man will ever return.
