History: Doctor Death is a supernatural entity that usually restricts himself to observing horrific events befalling people, usually of a supernatural nature and brought about by their own bad choices. On occasion
Comments: Horror hosts tend to most commonly fall into a couple of categories. There are those who observe and report events dispassionately, sometimes even semi-altruistically using their tales to impart warnings to the readers. And then there are others, like the Cryptkeeper, who clearly delight in seeing the protagonists of their tales meet horrible fates. Doctor Death was definitely of the latter kind, visibly finding amusement in their suffering.
While normally merely an observer in the stories, in This Magazine is Haunted#11's "Bags of Trouble" Doctor Death is an active participant, prompted by comments he overhears to deliberately precipitate events and posing as a human magician to directly interact with the people in the story.
