History: Wayne Sidmonson was the owner of the first "McBonnie Burger" Frachise in his hometown of St. George, Mississippi. He was also a collector who gathered weapons and torture istruments. One day he acquired an executioner's hood dating back to the Middle Ages. It turned out that the hood was cursed, so that "Whosoever wears the Hood, be they compelled: Do only good!" Putting on the hood, Simondson became a crimefighter, protecting his home town of St.George. Eventually he was murdered by mob boss "Hit" Coffee, who briefly became a second Black Hood, forced by the curse to do good much to his chagrin. But there was a witness to the murder of the original Black Hood, seventeen year old Nate Cray. He stole the Hood from Simondson's body, and became the third Black Hood..

Comments: Thanks to Gabriel  for telling me what powers the Hood granted.

Joshua Geren notes that "The Black Hood, in the Impact uni, was a simple Hood that compelled the wearer to fight evil. Among it's wearers were a small time thug named Hit Coffee, and a younger man named Nate. Upon death, each wearer found out that there was a small order of people that had worn the hood since about the end of the 13th century." Thanks for this, plus details on Wayne's family and additional background and powers information.

His wife's name was Darcy and they had two kids, Len and Kris. According to the information that I found the Hood allows the wearer to think more quickly and clearly, and instills the knowlegde of how to best use that particular person's capacities, thusly creating the illusion of hieghtened physical ability- reflexes, agility, etc.
