Powers/Abilities: Excellent fighter. Though nominally a normal human, he displayed virtually superhuman strength and agility.
History: Though officially the Daily Clarion's gossip columnist, John Perry often worked undercover doing exposes on the underworld and official corruption. He devised the costumed identity of the Black Fury to both fight these banes of society, and gather information for his columns. He was the guardian of Chuck Marley, the orphaned son of a murdered cop; Chuck would often join him on cases dressed in a similar costume to John's.
